Chinas widespread battery industry Heavy Metal Pollution Prevention program looks committed towards handling the situation of rising pollution of heavy metals in the country, which is affecting the world. The move is likely to curtail the demand for Lead in days to come. China is one of the major producer of battery in the world. The annual output of the world production of batteries from China stood at 400 million in 2009.
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology worldwide said recently in a note that the consumption of large amount of heavy metals in the battery industry, battery manufacturing, battery recycling, regeneration and other aspects create high risk of heavy metal pollution. The ministry said that the recycling of lead-acid battery system is not perfect, organized recovery rate is low.
In order to promote cleaner production as the starting point to the green product design Batteries should recycled and by recycling, a number of metals recovered in the process can be reused as secondary raw materials. We can help lessen the amount of waste that may affect our environment by process of recycling. The Ministry also said that the main task in focus is to encourage the development of mercury-free zinc-manganese batteries, lithium primary batteries, nickel hydrogen batteries, lithium ion battery, the new lead-acid batteries and super batteries.
Meanwhile, MCX Lead is trading at Rs. 104.2 per kg, down Rs. 1. The markets are expected to show some more selling on rise towards Rs. 105.5 per kg. Bindal Metals & Minerals name associated with the prime lead recycling company in India, put in efforts to recycle battery scrap in India. We provide cost-effective use of recycling technologies that protects our environment.
Let us help in making this world a better place. Recycle and save world.
